Your Role:
* Personalised Support: Work closely with the child to build trust, ensure comfort, and promote engagement.
* Personal Care: Assist with personal care needs respectfully, ensuring the child’s dignity and well-being.
* Communication & Development: Support the child’s communication through techniques like PECS, Makaton, or other non-verbal methods.
* Encourage Independence: Implement strategies that nurture confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
* Collaborative Approach: Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and parents to tailor support that meets the child’s unique needs.
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
✔️ Comfortable with personal care responsibilities
✔️ Knowledge of non-verbal communication methods (PECS, Makaton, etc.)
✔️ Patient, compassionate, and proactive approach
✔️ Passionate about creating positive, meaningful learning experiences for children with SEND
