This role is startingASAP, and we are looking for an individual who is dedicated to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs in a classroom environment.
* Assist with the delivery of lessons and interventions to support students academic and emotional development.
* Help manage challenging behaviour and create a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
* Work closely with teachers and other staff members to implement individualised learning plans and strategies.
* Promote students social, emotional, and behavioural well-being, ensuring they feel valued and included.
* Maintain accurate records of students progress and provide regular updates to the teaching team.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience working with students with SEMH or additional behavioural needs.
* Strong understanding of SEMH and how it affects student learning and behaviour.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students and staff.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
