Behaviour Support Assistant
Bradford
£85 - £95 per day
Vision for Education are urgently seeking behaviour specialist teaching assistants to work at our client primary schools throughout the region, supporting pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
The Role:
Once cleared for work you will have the option to take on longer term roles in individual schools, or choose day to day supply cover which could see you working at different schools each week. Both of these roles require a flexible and resilient attitude. As a behaviour support assistant, you will likely be working with a specific child with whom you will develop and maintain an effective and supportive relationship, promoting emotional wellbeing and identifying triggers. You will provide academic support, recording progress and reporting to the teacher.
Requirements:
1. Have experience working with either small groups or 1:1 with pupils who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who may have Special Educational Needs.
2. Be able to provide a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
3. Mentor and engage with the pupils, successfully delivering specifically designed educational packages.
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
