Job Overview
A manufacturer based in Stowmarket are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for managing the weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees using Sage Line 50. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will work within a team of four to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
This role requires an immediate start and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Process weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees using Sage Line 50.
• Ensure compliance with relevant payroll regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the Head of Finance and the payroll team to address payroll discrepancies or issues.
• Handle statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports and summaries as required.
• Assist with year-end payroll processes and audits, if applicable.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
• Provide support to the finance team as needed during the temporary engagement.
