As our Insight Analyst within the Insurance Analytics team, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of insights reporting for Insurance Claims. You will ensure strategic insight is delivered within the Insurance operation to support informed decision-making. You'll create solutions to solve some of the organisation's toughest problems and deliver tangible business value through process efficiency, exceptional customer experiences and reduced indemnity spend. This role requires the creation of prompt and precise insight to support key stakeholders and you'll combine multiple sources of data in each piece of analysis to add value and supply a defined picture for each subject matter. This role has a small hybrid element, which means that our team comes together when we need to collaborate.Role Responsibility As an Insight Analyst you'll be responsible for identifying insight opportunities through partnering with stakeholders, both understanding their business problems and developing solutions. Other accountabilities will include:
* Manipulation of large and complex datasets into structured formats to support insights reporting and analytics
* Being involved in Machine Learning use cases and support their delivery, benefits tracking and maintenance.
* Able to work on multiple projects, management of priorities and workflow including to other internal and external stakeholders.
* Be an advocate for the Insurance Analytics team across the wider business, working collaboratively to demonstrate how analytical techniques can deliver enhanced business outcomes improvement process
* Translate the results of analysis into actionable business recommendations, identifying emerging risks and providing insights and recommendations
* Own a performance pillar, providing responsibility to understand exceptions occurring and escalate these to the relevant teams. Ensuring data is useful and emerging risks are mitigated through business rectification
* Delivery and maintenance of Tableau dashboards and self-serve outputs for end users
* Nurture industrialised analytical products ensuring their continual evolution to match changing business requirements
* In a clear and concise manner communicate the outputs to non-technical claims teams
* Ensuring maintenance of high-quality documentation (data dictionaries, claim processes and data flows) on Confluence to minimise key person dependencies
* Clear audit of report requests, communication with requestors, and QA process to be followed
* Performance of regular reconciliations to validate accuracy of data and reporting
* Supporting delivery of accurate and validated data and insights, compliant with our Saga Data Governance Framework (GDPR & DPA) and following ICO best practice
As an Insight Analyst you would be an advanced user of Excel and SQL for data manipulation and educated to degree level preferably numerical or related discipline, Experience of working with multiple stakeholders to deliver analytical projects.
* Highly analytical with experience of problem-solving analytics.
* Experienced in the use of data visualisation and reporting software such as Tableau, PowerBI or an equivalent.
* Experienced communicator of technical content.
* Successfully contributes to a fun, fast-paced, "fail fast"/agile environment
