Project Manager Can be based in Glasgow, Lowestoft or London Salary from £54,800 with 15% Annual Bonus and Single Person Healthcare Flexible Working Pattern Closing Date: 8th November 2024 Purpose Assigned to the Onshore Construction team, you will be responsible for leading the safe, cost efficient and timely delivery of utility scale Solar PV projects within the ScottishPower Renewables portfolio and for the operational management of a multi-disciplinary project team. Responsibilities Managing projects during pre-FID, construction and commissioning phases of the project lifecycle, you will be accountable for establishing a positive, safety focused culture which will ensure a safe system of work is always maintained on projects. Ensuring project team compliance with ScottishPower Renewables processes and procedures, you will manage project budgets and risk, delivering works in accordance with the project programme. Complying with the company’s Quality, Environment, Health and Safety policies, applicable laws and regulations, you will establish a robust delivery strategy for the project, ensuring project management documents are written and approved at each stage within the project lifecycle. Supporting the business performance team to achieve a route to market for the project, you will prepare investment dossiers which are required to support project financial investment decisions and coordinate tendering activities for equipment supply and construction services contracts, taking a leading role in the negotiation of such. Managing equipment supply and construction services contracts, ensuring projects are constructed in accordance with agreed specifications to an acceptable standard, you will ensure the completion of all construction and commissioning activities required to achieve a successful handover to the Operations team What you’ll bring Educated in a relevant Engineering discipline such as Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, you will possess post qualification experience in infrastructure project management. Demonstrating a working knowledge and understanding of UK and European Health and Safety legislation which is relevant to infrastructure construction, you will be experienced in Project and Construction Management, displaying highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, particularly related to multicultural relationships. With an ability to present effectively to management teams, you will be an excellent negotiator and influencer with developed contractual and commercial awareness.
