Maintenance Manager – Yorkshire
Brierley J are currently working with a leading conservation and restoration contractor who turnover £10 million with over 100 employees, they have low staff turnover and maintain a culture of promoting from within. They have worked on multiple prestigious projects across Yorkshire including Fountains Abbey, Harewood Castle and Ripon Cathedral.
They are recruiting for a Maintenance Contracts Manager to manage their prestigious client’s maintenance programs. The role will be split between managing planned and reactive maintenance across historic buildings in Yorkshire and managing small works projects between £30k - £100K.
The role will require someone to work closely with clients and customers to propose building/conservation solutions including the technical approach and methodology behind it. You will be producing all project H&S information, RAMs, method statements and COSSH assessments. You will be managing directly employed staff (Joiners, Painters, Stone Masons and multi skilled trades) as well as the approved supply chain sub-contractors ensuring the maintenance works are effectively planned, resourced and coordinated.
This role is a key part of their business succession planning, they are looking for a driven individual with the aspiration and ability to progress within a small management team. There is the possibility of progressing to a Contract Management role working on their larger, multi million-pound projects.
They are looking for someone with hands on experience in Construction and Property Maintenance, who has an enthusiasm for the restoration of historic buildings. They need to have good IT skills and a good working knowledge of CDM regulations.
The salary is between £42,000 - £44,000 plus car and business expenses.
