Main duties of the job To provide a safe, polite and efficient reception service to visitors and staff. Responsible for security at the airlock entrance - including signing in visitors and patients on and off the unit,ensuring contraband items are put in lockers at the entrance and maintaining general unit security. Answering the phones and transferring to the appropriate person, recording messages accurately, respondingto queries appropriately, following Trust procedures and protocols. To maintain working relationships with a range of individuals including the staff of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and of other Trusts and hospitals, users and carers ofthe service and the public and other professionals. Managing emergency situations: directing emergency services to required areas and assisting in the evacuationof staff, patients and visitors You will be required to work 5 shifts over 7 days. These are day shifts (Early 06.30-14.30 and Late 14.00 - 22.00) and will incorporate some weekends.
