Your Role:
To actively participate in all activities of the Sales Department specifically drive the sales team to ensure that the hotel achieves their sales targets and objectives. You will drive and manage business across all segments, to continually improve revenue performance in line with budget and increase market share.
The ideal candidate:
* Manage the hotel sales plan to ensure accurate interpretation, using this plan to focus the sales efforts for all market segments.
* Work closely with the DOSM to identify and drive focused activities on elements of the business that require additional support.
* Work closely with the Revenue Director and DOSM in setting up, executing, and monitoring the budget over a 12-month period.
* Contribute to the development of company sales and marketing initiatives by recommending, implementing, and monitoring appropriate local activity.
* Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions.
* Monitor offers, options, and discounts for repeat bookings for groups and M&E in cooperation with the Group, Conference and Events and Food and Beverage teams.
* Organise comprehensive information describing the range of products and services offered by the hotel and deliver this information through relevant sales resources and sales channels to existing and potential clients.
* Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the hotel and the management company.
* Prepare and present, weekly, bi-weekly & monthly reports to the Management Team and owning company.
* Cooperate with other departments in the hotel, particularly Reservations, Meetings and Events, along with Front Office, to create an exceptional Guest experience.
* Contribute to relevant management meetings to develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives.
* Ensure the team has the tools, knowledge, and skills to perform their duties and achieve their goals.
* Excellent in targeting, managing, and developing corporate clients.
* Experienced in multi segment key account management and prospecting.
* Strong analytical skills in identifying trends that will impact future performance.
* Build strategic relationships with central sales functions to identify opportunities and grow existing accounts.
* Attend appropriate familiarisation visits and corporate hospitality events, generating incremental business and attracting new clients.
* Lead the activity of RFP season with regards to Wish/Want/Walk process.
* Experience using OnQ (desirable) and Delphi along with other 3rd Party Extranets and all Microsoft programmes.
* Establish relationships with key business travel agents, hotel booking agents and corporate and leisure clients.
* Maximise and achieve room revenue and M&E budgets monthly, and proactively build the client database.
* Anticipate guests’ needs and provide service to exceed their expectations.
* Handle any guest issues/complaints/feedback and take appropriate follow up action.
* Comply with brand, hotel, and company operating standards.
* Understand the systems in place for reporting etc.
* Ability to evaluate situations and to change depending on situations.
* Take on additional responsibilities within the department.
