Role Overview
We are looking for proactive, organised and diligent individuals who can work independently and show initiative in everyday situations. You must have flexibility to work at different times and on different days, including evenings and weekends when required.
As part of our Outreach Team, you will play a key role in planning and attending events, connecting with the Deaf community, and promoting the SignWow service and brand. This remote role offers flexibility while building meaningful connections within the Deaf community. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales-focused outreach worker to contribute to the company’s annual growth targets while achieving your own individual sales goals and commission-based financial incentives.
Key Responsibilities
* Reaching out to and connecting with Deaf clubs, organisations, schools, colleges, and similar groups to arrange events.
* Representing SignWow at pre-planned events, such as coffee mornings, workshops, Deaf celebration days, rallies, festivals, and conferences, to connect with new potential leads.
* Encouraging potential customers to sign up via Access to Work or Direct Payment funding and personally funded Home Packages.
* Attending weekly staff meetings virtually to discuss updates, share tips, and plan ahead.
* Collaborating with the Head of Community Engagement to increase annual revenue by onboarding new customers.
* Achieving monthly sales targets.
* Supporting customers with app downloads and registration to ensure satisfaction.
* Focusing on sales techniques (80%) while incorporating marketing strategies (20%).
* Identifying and signposting potential B2B leads when contacting organisations.
Key Skills & Experience
* Fluency in BSL, with strong interpersonal communication skills in both 1-2-1 and group settings.
* Proven sales and/or customer service experience.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* A full UK driving license with access to your own transport.
* Ability to work as part of a team and build strong working relationships.
* Potential and desire to lead and motivate others as the team and business grow.
* Knowledge or experience with Deaf culture and British Sign Language (BSL).
* Previous experience working with Deaf people or in accessibility-related services.
