A family well recommended to the agency is seeking an educated and experienced governess for the care and education of their 14-year-old son. It is essential that the candidate has at least 3 years’ experience working with this age group, holds a teaching qualification, and is familiar with the National Curriculum for England and the British Independent Curriculum to support his studies. He has tutors in English, Maths, and Science. However, you will need to hold good IT skills to assist with school projects. A candidate who has a background in Drama or holds an additional language would be of interest to the family. A confident driver with a clean driving record is required to take the boy to and from school and to extra-curricular activities. This is a live-out role based in Chigwell. Therefore, you must have your own accommodation nearby or at furthest East London for commuting purposes. You can take the car home daily. The ideal candidate will be extremely organised, structured, and have excellent communication skills. This is a fully staffed household whereby you will need to communicate with a range of household staff. Therefore, you must be a team player and a good role model to their son. The family has two dogs. Given that it is a fully staffed household, discretion is imperative. The family is seeking a candidate looking for a long-term role and who is available to start immediately/by early March at the latest for a handover with their current governess.
