* Assist the Night Manager with thenight audit process
* Conduct Night Auditorduties whilst on shift with the NightManager
* Perform routine maintenance checks onthe network and system audit controls
* Ensurethat staff on duty are well groomed and promote morale throughencouragement of team work and a positiveattitude
* Investigate security breachescompleting relevant forms and advising relevant authorities usingthe correct legal process
* Handle disruptiveguests and ensure their discreet removal from the property ifneeded
* Responsible for all other departments inthe absence of their respective managers for the duration of thenight time operation
* Enforce policies andprocedures in order to achieve superior levels ofservice
* Attend and conduct monthly operationmeetings to review monitor and upgrade the performance of thedepartment through dissemination of information explaining newdirections policies and procedures standard operating procedures(SOPs) and training initiatives
* Ensure that allspecified diaries and reports are maintained in an accurate and upto date manner
* Handle all complaints promptlyand efficiently ensuring follow up to determine the source of thecomplaint and resolution of the problem
* Beavailable at all times for guest queries
* Ensurethe hotel is operating efficiently and according to hotelpolicy
* Ensure all staff are on duty and inproper uniform. Liaise with the departmentheads/supervisors for replacement of any absentstaff
* Ensure all public areas outlets and theFront Office areas are clean at alltimes
* Conduct performance appraisals on NightAudit staff
* Monitor occupancy to obtain maximumyield
* Maintain guest history and use for allbookings as appropriate.
* Convey all complaintsand apparent problems to the appropriate departmenthead
* Carry out a complete handover to the nextAssistant Manager.
* Issue floats and keys inaccordance with SOPs
* Ensure all basic LiquorLicensing Laws are adhered to
* Check all areasfor general maintenance requirements
* Apply fullknowledge of fire procedures and take control in the case offire
Qualifications:
You will alsohave:
* Previous experience in aSupervisory or Night Supervisor role within aHotel environment
* An energetic andproactive approach to providing 5 starservice
* A meticulous and methodical approach toprocessing all tasks
* An effectivecommunicator
* Proficiency with Microsoft Officeprograms particularly Excel
* Experience with aHotel Property Management System (PMS) preferablyOpera.
* Ability to remain calm and professionalunder pressure in a busy fastpacedenvironment
