Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a leading UK distributor of valve products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for key account management with major customers and new business development for valve products and solutions in various industries in the Midlands via distribution and OEM channels.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling mechanical engineering products such as valves, actuators, steam solutions, pumps, rotating equipment, compressors, process machinery, machine tools, or similar mechanical engineering products. Experience in M&E contracts is preferred. Full product training will be provided.
Internal Sales or Service Engineers with valves experience looking to progress into area sales are encouraged to apply.

Role Responsibilities
1. Managing a number of key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers of valve equipment in various industries including construction, process, HVAC, and others.
2. Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development for safety valve products and solutions across the Midlands, UK.
3. Maintaining new safety valve sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
4. Working closely with the Valves service department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
5. Completing safety valve product selections, preparing quotes, and following up on quotations and projects.
6. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements
1. Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, UK Sales Manager, or similar role having sold a mechanical engineering product.
2. Proven sales background within safety valves, actuators, steam solutions, control valves, solenoid valves, pressure relief valves, valve hatches, or similar valve-related products and/or solutions would be preferred.
3. Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable safety valves manufacturer.
4. A technical mechanical engineering or instrumentation qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, or degree would be advantageous.
5. Full clean driving license and willingness to travel across the Midlands, UK.
