Job responsibilities
The main duties of this role are to support the wider MDT. This involves attending meetings and taking minutes which are then issued to various team members. Any actions taken from the MDT should be followed up prior to the next meeting. You will gather information and manage this for both our in-house database and the North Star database. Clinic management is an important part of this role, and you will support the secretarial team to ensure all clinics are set up and cancelled appropriately. You will act as a point of contact for the neuromuscular network and be responsible for arranging patient and family events as well as staff away days. You will be a contact for neuromuscular charities and ensure invoices are dealt with for events.
You will also work closely with our transition nurse to manage the cohort of patients that reach the age where they are required to move from paediatric to adult services. This role involves dealing with issues which may be sensitive or have safeguarding involvement, so candidates should be comfortable working in these situations.
