Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking a Data Exploitation (DE) Engineer to support both new business opportunities and existing fixed and rotary wing platforms.
BDUK, a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, employs over 2,000 people in the UK and delivers cutting-edge capabilities to UK defence customers. Key programmes include E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Chinook and Apache fleet support, Autonomous Systems, and C4ISR services.
This role is part of BDUK’s growing Product Support Engineering Department, which includes:

4. Engineering Data Exploitation
5. Obsolescence Management
6. Technical Publications
7. Integrated Logistic Support Engineering
As a DE Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to support and review fleet data analysis, drive digital data exploitation, and develop core capabilities to identify and implement data-driven enhancements that improve business and programme performance. You will report to the DE Team Lead and BDUK Product Support Engineering Manager, with technical support from other specialists within the department.
In your role, you will:
1. Fleet Data Analysis: Utilise aircraft fleet data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making and enhance operational performance.
2. Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across all projects.
3. KPI Establishment and Monitoring: Set, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for DE activities to measure progress and success.
4. Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in data exploitation processes and methodologies to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
1. Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain UK SC security clearance.
2. Data Proficiency: Comfortable working with data and software, with advanced skills in data exploitation modelling and calculations.
3. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI, including dashboard creation.
4. Data-Driven Environment: Comfortable operating in a data-driven environment, using analytics to inform decision-making.
5. Aircraft Maintenance Experience: Prior experience in aircraft maintenance desirable but not mandatory.
6. Defence Background (Preferred): A defence industry background is desirable but not mandatory.
7. Effective Communicator: A clear communicator with a proactive, can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
8. Interdisciplinary Understanding: Knowledge of how Data Exploitation integrates with R&M, Design, Dependability, Safety, ILS, and Asset Management.
9. Commitment to Quality: Demonstrated ability to deliver first-time quality consistently.
