We're looking for a SHE Advisor to join our Build Team based in the Southern Region. Location : Southampton, Hampshire Contract : Full Time, Permanent What will you be responsible for? As a SHE Advisor you'll be working within the SHE Team, supporting them in providing Specialist Health, Safety & Welfare advice for Construction Sites across the Southern Region. Your day to day will include: Carry out SHE tasks that are required to maintain Kier Group policies and procedures as directed by the Senior SHE Manager. Carry out regular audits, inspections and visits to identify safe and unsafe on-site working conditions and working practices. Report on the findings of such inspections and make recommendations to remedy any defects found using Kiers software systems. Advise on the practical implementation of CDM, Safe Systems of Work & Construction Phase Plans. Compile accident reports for reportable accidents and provide recommendations to prevent reoccurrence. Send reports to the SHE Manager and Project Director/Manager and ensure recommendations are actioned in a timely manner. Ensure that management are supplied with the necessary information to help maintain safe working practices in accordance with modern day legal standards and industry best practice, (this includes SHE Plans, local campaigns, awareness posters etc). What are we looking for? This role of SHE Advisor is great for you if you have: Excellent verbal, written communication skills and be able to present in forums or meetings. A proactive approach to resolving issues, finding effective and practical solutions. Fully conversant with current IT A clean driving license and willingness to travel to fulfil duties relevant to role.
