We are currently seeking a motivated Maintenance Supervisor, appropriately skilled, enthusiastic, and reliable to undertake day to day management of the maintenance team, carry out planned maintenance, and day to day minor repairs within a hospital environment.
Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre is a modern built independent hospital run in partnership with the NHS (North Bristol NHS Trust). It provides an inpatient Level 1 intensive brain injury rehabilitation service (29 NHS England funded beds) for the South West of England and 23 slower-stream neuro-rehabilitation beds (Level 2).
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you must be capable of planning and prioritising maintenance workload and allocating work to the maintenance team. Applicants must be able to use their own initiative, working effectively and in close collaboration with the Hospital Director & Business Support Manager. Full consideration of our patients, staff and visitors’ requirements within a caring healthcare environment must be given at all times.
What you'll be working:
4 Days A Week between Monday & Friday (30 hours)
Rate of pay: £13.10 - £13.60 hourly (£20,436 - £21,216.00)
Start Date: Mid-March 2025
What you'll be doing:
We are looking for someone with previous maintenance experience with excellent DIY skills who will provide a high standard of maintenance service. You will positively promote health and safety standards in the Centre and ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the Centre, including the surrounding grounds and gardens. You will ensure the smooth operation of all the building and site services such as heating, lighting, plumbing, hydrotherapy pool and non-medical equipment (i.e. beds, trolleys etc.). You will be capable of keeping up to date company records and have a good awareness of safe working procedures. The post involves driving the company vehicles and mini-buses and a full driving license is essential.
What you'll have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as you will liaise with patients, their relatives, company visitors and other members of staff as well as sub-contractors.
