About the role
Are you a driven and detail-oriented professional looking to make a significant impact in the retail industry? Tesco is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Property Maintenance team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of 450 of our retail sites.
You will be responsible for
* Collaborate to deliver operational excellence and meet performance targets.
* Drive process improvements and support cross-functional project delivery.
* Exercise budgetary control and ensure financial governance.
* Supporting the implementation of operational improvement plans and recruitment strategies.
* Serve as a vital link between technical, engineering, and other key stakeholders.
* Foster strong stakeholder relationships and uphold health and safety standards.
* Achieve audit excellence and maintain Pest Compliance.
* Manage people with consistency, aligning with our best practice framework.
* Assist with seasonal planning, central rotas, and on-call schedules.
* Address daily reactive tasks efficiently.
* Ensure regional compliance with Tesco’s security and IT standards.

You will need
Experience relevant for this job:
* Managing complex budgets and budget forecasting
* People leadership and development experience
* Devising and implementing change programs
* Comparable facilities / building maintenance / engineering experience in a similar scale operation
* Working with and managing remote teams
* Technical and Maintenance Engineering experience including a technical qualification.
* Financial Management / Acumen
* Experienced advanced user of Microsoft 360
