Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Peterborough with hybrid working available
Salary: £55-65k (Neg DOE), car/allowance and excellent benefits package
The Role: Working within a Framework JV made up of seven partner companies and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme. The framework is heading into its latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 8 which will deliver a £1.4bn programme of work over the next five years. You will report directly to the Managing QS and you will be expected to take responsibility for several key accounts on a large project or the overall financial control of smaller projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Applications, valuations and cost value reconciliation.
2. Cost control and forecasting.
3. Prepare and feed information for monthly reports: value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow.
4. Supply chain management.
5. Assisting with Risk and Value Management to optimise solution.
6. Mentor and regularly review with the project team.
7. Contract Management including all relevant contractual forms, methods of budgetary control and relevant software applications.
8. Prepare subcontract enquiries, negotiate and set up contracts.
9. Ensure all notifications/documents are kept up to date.
10. Ensure all safety risk situations are brought to the attention of site management.
11. Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractor(s) and clients' representative(s).
12. Provide contractual advice to the site team as and when required.
Experience:
Essential:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
2. ARICS or studying for APC.
3. Experience working with a main contractor.
Desirable:
1. Experience working within Water.
2. Knowledge of NEC contracts.
