Job summary Job overview The Rugby site team comprises of experienced and skilled band 6 nurses who maintain both patient and site safety. The team manage the flow of patients being transferred from the UH site for medical rehabilitation or Rugby medical patients awaiting discharge planning. The clinical site coordinator is the bleep holder for the site both day and night utilising ILS/ALS skills as part of the emergency response team, attending both medical alerts and cardiac arrests within the hospital. During the night the clinical site coordinator supports the SHO with assessment of deteriorating patients and will perform appropriate interventions to maintain/ improve the welfare of patients within the hospital. They also respond to all fire alarm activations and security alerts throughout daytime and nighttime hours and are a point of initial escalation for nursing staff providing advice and support. The clinical site coordinator ensures safe staffing and escalates all concerns to the appropriate matron in hours. Out of hours they manage staff shortages escalating to the CSM at UH for support when necessary. The post is both days and nights as necessary. Main duties of the job 1.Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct.
