About The Role We are looking for a Senior Solutions manager to join our team. It’s essential that you have come from an engineering background or ideally a history in the water industry, along with a sound knowledge in pumps. You will need to have the correct level of technical knowledge for this senior position, as our solutions managers will be reporting directly into you so solid leadership skills will also be essential. You will need to have a full driving licence and be based in either Chandlers Ford or Bristol for this role. To be able to carry out your duties you will need to travel around the UK ,this will involve overnight stays on occasions. As part of your duties you will need to be commercially aware as you will need to evaluate deals for the business when out visiting sites and branches. Main Responsibilities: Promote and exercise the company’s mission statement and core values to deliver the required uniformed approach to our business strategy across the UK network. Work closely with the Director of Solutions within your region and the wider Solutions, Installation and Electrical teams to deliver market leading solutions to our client base. Establish and develop client interfaces, nurturing relationships and gaining their trust and confidence in our products, the services we offer and the Selwood brand. Manage all aspects of a project from inception to completion, along with assisting & supporting the projects being managed by your Pump Solutions Managers (PSM) team. Work closely with the recruitment department to attract and identify suitable candidates for vacant PSM roles to build a competent, capable resilient and diverse team. Take lead with the on-boarding of new recruits (including internal promotions) into your team, utilising a structured measurable approach incorporating both formal training and one-to-one mentoring, ensuring we give all new starters a solid foundation for success. Qualifications & Experience: It’s vital that you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment as you will be balancing multiple workstreams, whilst also working with several different clients and build partners in parallel; ensuring smooth efficiency and strong output is achieved. Extensive knowledge of Electrical / Mechanical over pumping solutions in a temporary / permanent environment. Experience of successfully managing a team, being able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to develop, coach, motivate and engage a team. Proven background in leading a demanding role whilst driving growth, maximising sales and profitability. Experience of leading and demanding a Health & Safety culture, driving, and creating an environment where good practices are a way of everyday life and total compliance is adhered to. Computer literate. Be able to analyse data on Microsoft Packages such as Projects, Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Demonstrate project managements skills to be able to ensure smooth delivery of successful projects.
