As a cover supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting schools by covering lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. Your key responsibility is to ensure that students remain on task, following the pre-prepared lesson plans, and maintaining a productive classroom environment. You will not be required to plan or mark work, allowing you to focus on managing the class and facilitating learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring they are following the pre-set work and tasks
* Manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment
* Ensure students remain focused and engaged with their learning during lessons
* Follow school policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines to ensure the welfare of all pupils
* Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding any issues or student progress observed during the lesson
* Be flexible and adaptable, covering various subjects and year groups as required by the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
