Profile description This role is based in the employee’s home country and reports to the Corp QHSE department in Hong Kong/ Singapore and is responsible for verifying compliance with relevant standards, legislation, international conventions, established SMS procedures and their effectiveness by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation during the statutory internal audits on board vessels. Job description What You Will Do Reporting directly to the Audit and Compliance Managers, your core responsibilities will include: Carry out internal audits/ navigation/ cargo/ mooring audits/ SMS setups on vessels, as assigned. Carry out incident investigations on vessels, as assigned. Carry out training onboard ships, as required. Assist the Corp QHSE department in assigned projects and in keeping abreast of developments in the industry, new regulations and suggest changes for continual improvement. What We Are Looking For/ Candidate Qualification (includes professional, leadership, soft skills required) Master Mariner Class 1 – COC. (Sailing experience as Master on Dry cargo / Oil-Chem Tankers / Gas Vessels or Offshore vessels). Valid Unlimited DPO Certificate Minimum 1 year of command experience. Keen interest in improving systems. Good knowledge of all regulations. Thorough knowledge of Company SMS (for internal candidates). Knowledge of OVID and SIRE 2.0. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must have a passion for learning continuously. Proficient in the use of computers. Travel expectations between 200 to 220 days a year.
