ABOUT THE ROLE The candidate will be someone with experience in the field, who has operated digital labs and understands all aspects of what this role entails. They will be confident enough to provide training and mentoring to junior members of the team and our pool of freelancers. And will be shift-based. We expect the role to include: Workflow guidance, training and support for new technicians and freelancers Provision of support and training on digital lab equipment and software, e.g Silverstack, Resolve, Avid, Yoyotta etc Knowledge of software and hardware keeping up to date with the latest trends to help make the job more efficient Troubleshooting - Lab issues Provision of support for HoDs Keeping across our workflow documents and keep them updated with HoD and Lab Ops Incident management with HoD Developing and maintaining our scripts to automate workflows where necessary Generation of pixel-accurate framing for projects Setup and administration of new and existing services Helping and supporting our Engineering team WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR This is both a frontline and support role. It requires a good aptitude for working with both people and computers. The role will require a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of digital lab work at the studio feature and high-end TV drama levels and will involve mentoring and training other staff members. Flexibility and adaptability are critical.
