Then we may have the perfect opportunity for you, Wiltshire libraries are on the lookout for a Relief Mobile Library Manager to join them. As a Relief Mobile Library Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the mobile library service in Wiltshire. We need staff on reserve to cover leave, sickness, and other absences. Your duties will include driving the mobile library vehicle to ensure timely arrival at designated stops, assisting customers with accessing the service using the computerised library management system, managing and shelving library stock, and handling enquiries. This is a zero-hours, variable contract ideal for someone with flexibility to work on any day of the week, including Saturdays. Our ideal candidate will be educated to an A level standard or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. You will need to possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both children and adults. Strong ICT, administrative and driving skills alongside the ability to work independently will also be essential. A clean driving licence held for 5 years to drive a 7.5 tonne Large Goods Vehicle (C1 category on driving licence) and digital tachograph card will be required for this role. A Driver’s Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is also an essential requirement, training will be provided for the successful candidate if this is not already held on application.
