Marine Offshore Management (MOM) is seeking a motivated and talented Senior Naval Architect to lead and contribute to SPS repair and design projects in the maritime and offshore sectors. The successful candidate will bring expertise in structural analysis, project leadership, and client engagement to this pivotal role. Required Skills and Qualifications
* A degree in Naval Architecture.
* Significant experience (5+ years) in maritime or offshore projects, with a focus on structural analysis and design.
* Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar) and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino).
* Strong understanding of classification society rules and maritime regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead technical teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to clients and stakeholders.
* Valid passport and driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with SPS technology or advanced structural repair methods.
* Background in project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-value projects.
* Membership or chartership with a recognised professional institution (e.g., RINA, SNAME, or equivalent).
Job Duties
Technical Leadership:
* Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of SPS repair solutions.
* Oversee complex Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for maritime and offshore structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Project Management:
* Manage project lifecycles, from initial concept development to final execution, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and site personnel, to achieve project objectives.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
* Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, shipyards, and classification societies.
* Prepare and present technical proposals, reports, and designs to stakeholders.
Mentorship and Development:
* Mentor junior naval architects and engineering staff, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
* Provide guidance and quality assurance for the team's technical outputs.
Travel and Site Work:
* Support international projects through site visits, client meetings, and hands-on technical leadership.
* Conduct inspections and provide on-site problem-solving during repair operations.
