The project: Planning Manager required to work in London with the odd travel to Plymouth on a large-scale infrastructure project. Mace are engaged as delivery partner to Babcock in supporting the delivery of a major upgrade of existing facilities within HMNB Devonport. These major upgrades will enable deep maintenance work packages for the latest class of nuclear-powered fleet submarines. Dock upgrades to support the Astute operational programme will enable optimisation of the maintenance programme. Mace are playing a key role in delivering these upgrades. You’ll need to have\: Exposure of working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large scale civil engineering / infrastructure projects ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a client side consultancy. Construction related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent). Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. Experience of working on large projects/programmes. Construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer. Working in a large portfolio of projects. Mentoring and upskilling of inexperienced planners. Implementation of planning principles within the project management community. Working with large range of stakeholders. Planning of complicated infrastructure projects and summarisation of these into portfolio level schedules. Experienced P6 user (P6 pro). Familiarisation with P6 EPPM (Web) – for config management – see below Management of large data sets into simple reporting formats, through coding and layout manipulation Baseline control and config. Schedule import and export. You’ll also have: NEC Civils/infrastructure projects. Familiarisation with other planning software - P6, Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project. Schedule risk analysis (QSRA) P6 configuration management - user access, OBS creation and management, user profiles, OBS assignation. Set up and use of resources - future project not yet required.
