This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial future of the company, providing strategic direction and playing a critical role in driving financial performance, reporting, and compliance. The right person for this role will be living in a commutable distance to Poole, Dorset. The position requires in office working for 2-3 days per week. Your Responsibilities will include: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts. Manage the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Orders & Billing and Management Accounting functions – leading and managing a team of four direct reports (6 indirect), providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure high performance. Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Provide strategic financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support business decision-making. Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the company's financial stability. Oversee tax planning and compliance with the support of external advisors Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, debt providers and other third-party stakeholders as required. Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes (led by the FP&A Analyst). Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ensure timely and accurate submission of all regulatory filings and reports. About You You will bring with you excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience of managing and developing a finance team. You'll also have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. As well as effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Experience Required: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience. Proven experience in a Financial Controller role or similar position within a UK-based PE backed company. Excellent technical accounting skills and knowledge of FRS102. Proficient in using financial software (SAP would be an advantage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
