We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our academy, to support pupils with SEND and to ensure that every child succeeds. The contract on offer is part time (27.5 hours per week) and fixed term until 31/08/2025, and we require the successful candidate to commence employment as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities:
* Work with either individuals or small groups of pupils in or outside the classroom ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
* Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
* Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.
* Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
Pay range:
NJC Scale Point Range 5-7 £16,205.22 - £16,724.26 per annum (Full Time Equivalent £24,790 - £25,584)
Qualifications and Skills:
* TA2 Qualification or equivalent.
* Maths & English GCSE Grades A-C (or equivalent).
* Relevant experience in a similar role.
* Awareness of SEND and safeguarding processes.
* Good interpersonal skills.
