If so, then we have a great opportunity for you to be part of our dedicated Adult Supporting living Team in North LanarkshireYour new opportunityOur Adult Supported Living services in North Lanarkshire area (Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, Moodiesburn and Stepps) are looking for part time & full time Day Support Workers to assist in the provision of individualised support to adults and/or young people, with a wide range of disabilities, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team. We deliver 24 hour care to individuals in their own home who have a wide range of support needs. As a Support Worker you will be providing support with their personal care and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives, some these include; keeping them safe, taking part in activities & interests, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing. Working patternMostly day shifts working 8.30am to 5pm. Please note we managed shifts on a rotational basis where staff work a variety of shifts to meet the needs of the people we support and will include working weekends. No sleepover shifts as the individuals we support live within their family home. Say hello to the people we supportEmily lives in the Chryston area in her own tenancy and is supported by all-female staff on a 24-hour basis. Ideally you will hold a driving license as Emily is a wheelchair user and enjoys getting out and about in her car, which staff drive for her. She enjoys being outdoors as well as attending local community groups. Bring the fun-loving side of your personality as Emily enjoys music and arts and crafts and likes staff who support her to be bright and chatty. Emily needs support with all aspects of daily living including washing and dressing, meal preparation and household tasks as well as support with her health and wellbeing. Ben lives in the Cumbernauld area and has his own car. Ben enjoys going out for drives with staff, going to local community groups and clubs and meeting his friends. Ben requires full support with daily living tasks for example, washing, dressing, mealtime preparation and assistance with household tasks, financial support and support to manage his health and wellbeing. Ben is happy to have male or female support staff. Gerry is a young male who lives in the Cumbernauld area with his family. Gerry accesses the community with the use of his car which staff will drive. He enjoys getting out and about in the community and meeting his friends as well as going for lunch and outdoor walks. Gerry likes his support workers to help him try new activities and be willing to support him with his personal care i.e. shaving, bathing, washing and dressing and assisting him with meals. Gerry communicatesthrough sounds and requires his staff to be patient and have a positive outlook to life. Gerry is happy to accept male or female staff.
