MacGregor Black is currently partnering with an innovative consumer goods brand to recruit a Head of eCommerce. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Yorkshire, UK.
The Head of eCommerce will lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy, reporting directly to the executive leadership team. With ambitious growth targets, the successful candidate will focus on scaling Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) operations, driving international expansion, and enhancing the brand’s digital presence. This role is ideal for a senior eCommerce professional passionate about transforming customer experiences and delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership: Define and implement an eCommerce strategy aligned with the brand’s vision and growth objectives.
2. Global Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand into international markets, tailoring approaches to local needs while maintaining brand alignment.
3. P&L Ownership: Drive revenue growth and profitability, ensuring all digital initiatives deliver strong ROI.
4. Platform Optimization: Oversee the continuous improvement of the DTC platform for seamless, engaging user experiences.
5. Customer Lifecycle Management: Develop strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and engagement via paid media, SEO, email marketing, and affiliates.
6. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage analytics and A/B testing to optimize conversions, enhance customer lifetime value, and inform strategic decisions.
7. Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
8. Trend Leadership: Monitor industry advancements to keep the brand ahead in digital innovation and strategy.
What We Are Looking For
1. Proven experience in a senior eCommerce leadership role, preferably in consumer goods.
2. Demonstrated success in scaling DTC revenues and launching international markets.
3. Strong expertise in digital marketing channels, including PPC, social media, SEO, and email.
4. Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms like Shopify Plus or Magento and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
5. Commercially focused, with a sharp eye for KPIs and customer-centric strategies.
