What will I be doing?
Reporting in to the Director of Finance you’ll use your skills in financial management and accounting to drive innovation, foster a culture of excellence, and ensure our financial operations are at the forefront of compliance, efficiency, and performance. We’ve broken down some key responsibilities here:
1. Lead and Develop: Manage teams across financial accounting, management accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and rent and service charge functions. Empower your team to innovate and deliver excellence.
2. Drive Performance: Oversee financial processing, accounting, and tax activities with a focus on compliance, value for money, and delivering exceptional service.
3. Collaborate and Influence: Work closely with the Director of Finance, internal leaders, and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless approach to accounting and reporting functions.
4. Champion Continuous Improvement: Develop and embed innovative solutions to improve departmental efficiency and service delivery.
5. Deliver Compliance and Assurance: Ensure all statutory and regulatory financial reporting obligations are met, ensure Rent Standard compliance, and maintain strong internal controls and governance.
What do you need from me?
1. Senior-Level Expertise: Extensive experience in financial management, accounting, and compliance, backed by a relevant professional qualification.
2. A Passion for Innovation: A creative mindset to develop new approaches and deliver transformative change.
3. Leadership Excellence: Proven ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams, creating a strong performance culture.
4. Commercial Savvy: A sharp eye for detail, a pragmatic approach to risk, and a clear vision for financial growth.
5. Sector Knowledge: An understanding of the housing sector’s challenges, along with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
6. Collaboration Skills: The confidence to build relationships across all levels, from Executive Teams to external stakeholders, driving positive outcomes.

This a full time role with a salary of £80,465.21, 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
