We're looking for a Managing Estimator (Civils) to join our Natural Resources team. In this role you'll be Managing Estimator during the mobilisation and ongoing operations of our new 7 year, c£1bn framework with Southern Water.
Location: With remote working, you'll also be able to travel to client sites and offices across Hampshire, Sussex, and Kent.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
We're looking for a Managing Estimator (Civils) to join our Southern Water Framework team. The role will involve leading a team of estimators and managing the estimating process to develop solutions and prices for a portfolio of projects. Working closely with the Client and other members of our framework team, to lead, develop and deliver value for money solutions for capital delivery projects, in line with framework requirements. Work will be on non-infra capital delivery clean and wastewater projects.
Your day to day will include:
* Managing a team of estimators and managing estimating workload across a portfolio of projects.
* Collecting benchmark data for Client and contractor, as well as having input into all aspects of the pre-construction phase of projects, including early contractor involvement.
* Carry out pre-work prior to tenders arriving a
* Attend internal and external review and progress meetings, as well as site visits/meetings.
* Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirements and solutions, including programmes and value engineering solutions.
What are we looking for?
This Managing Estimator (Civils) is great for you if you have:
* Ability to manage a team of estimators and a portfolio of projects in a framework environment.
* A proven track record of successfully delivering tenders/pricing of varying size/complexity in the water industry.
* Ability to produce differing levels of pricing, from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums or targets.
* Competence in using various IT packages including estimating software
