We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced electrician to join our ambitious team. You'll be supporting us in a vital role delivering solar PV installations at domestic properties. The Role: In this role as a solar electrician, you will be working as part of a team with a solar roofer, visiting customers properties to install and commission domestic solar PV and battery storage systems ensuring compliance to relevant regulations. You will be required to complete building regulation notifications when necessary as well as completing EIC's for each installation. This role would suit an electrician who has gained experience in the renewable energy sector and has good understanding of installing and commissioning solar PV battery storage systems. There is a requirement for you to be able to travel and stay away for work when necessary, accommodation, fuel and an ‘out of town’ allowance will be provided. Our main office is based in Nottingham our coverage is nationwide dependent on project requirements. Ongoing training, development and support is offered throughout your employment with us. Key skills and experience required: - Fully qualified solar electrician - Reliable, competent and an excellent communicator with great customer service skills - Problem solving approach and ability to work as part of a team - Relevant qualifications: NVQ level 3 Electrical Qualification, 18th Edition, 2391 testing and inspection, BPEC or equivalent solar qualification - Ability to complete any relevant paperwork, including RAMS, pre-damage disclaimers, electrical completion forms etc, ensuring accuracy and compliance - Work to meet the requirements of BS7671 Electrical regulations - Solar installation experience is required Qualifications: Previous experience working with solar installation teams or renewable energy systems is essential. CSCS and DBS are desirable but not essential. Proficiency in using tools and equipment, with a focus on safety and quality. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Relevant roofing qualifications or certifications are preferred. A valid driving license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
