Respond Services are part of the Electrolux Service Force network of domestic appliance service companies. We are an exclusive service partner of Electrolux Home Appliances and undertake warranty and out-of-warranty repairs for AEG, Electrolux, Zanussi branded and OEM domestic appliances.
We directly employ over 50 field-service engineers and the Group employs over 120 staff across service and retail sales operations. The Company sells and repairs domestic appliances.
What is the role?
We are seeking to employ a Warehouse Assistant / Delivery Driver to join our small warehouse and parts distribution team in Chelmsford, Essex.
The suitable candidate should have warehousing and delivery/collection experience and a full, clean driving license. Experience of forklift driving is an advantage but not essential.
* Strong team player with innovative thinking but will be equally comfortable taking ownership of their tasks and working under their own initiative.
* Familiar driving M25 and surrounding areas.
* Delivering components in London, or outer London postcode, Essex, Sussex, Kent and other home counties in South East of England.
* Training will be provided if application is successful.
RESPONSIBILITY
WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT
* Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location.
* Scan delivered items and ensure quality.
* Report damaged or missing inventory to team leaders/manager.
* Replenishing stock levels in the warehouse and organize large bulk items.
* Wear safety gear at all times.
* Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move or store inventory.
* Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles.
* Work as active team member to complete goals.
* Prepare documentation and inventory.
* Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
* Undertake any other tasks as deemed appropriate that may be initiated by a member of the management team.
DRIVER
* Delivering spare parts to Field Service Engineers living in and around London and the Home Counties.
* Loading the delivery vans.
* Assisting the Stores Staff by picking parts required for the engineers and other stores tasks.
DAY-TO-DAY ENVIRONMENT
The role will involve working in the store/warehouse and responsible for administration, picking and delivering spare-parts to our field engineers, and to maintain the warehouse floor and working areas clean, organized and tidy.
BENEFITS OF JOINING THE RESPOND SERVICES:
* Pay package: £23,900 per annum.
* Permanent position subject to an initial 3 months probationary period.
* Overtime Pay.
* 20 days paid holiday per year, and will increase by (1) one day for each full year of continuous service, to a maximum of 25 days per annum, plus (8) eight bank holidays.
* Generous company contribution to pension scheme (after probationary period).
* Attendance bonus of up to £500 per annum pro rata payable in November.
* The role is permanent, full time Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
