Our mobile care response team works from 7am to 1:30pm and 4pm to 10pm daily, providing urgent social care to service users while a permanent care package is arranged. The team operates with two carers at all times using our own vehicle, a BMW Smart car. You must be available for morning and afternoon shifts on your working days.
Carers work on a two-week rotation, including one weekend in two. Shifts involve working the morning, taking a long break, then resuming at 4pm.
You should have experience in adult social care, with certificates of relevant care training, to respond to a variety of social care needs promptly. If your experience and training match the requirements, please send your CV for consideration.
Interviews will be held at our Blackburn Enterprise Centre office, opposite the Tesco in Blackburn.
We are an equal opportunity employer.
About The Role
You should have hands-on experience in adult social care, preferably with a Level 2 or higher qualification, plus related care training. Applicants must be over 25 to be covered as drivers under our insurance policy.
Skills Needed
Relevant experience, care qualifications, and a driving license are essential.
About The Company
Choice Care was founded in 1999 by Andrew and Fiona Key. With over 25 years of experience, they combine nursing backgrounds with a passion for delivering high-quality home care services across Lancashire, bridging traditional home care and nursing.
We collaborate with private clients, social services, Clinical Commissioning Groups, solicitors, and health professionals to provide tailored care for vulnerable individuals.
Our partnerships include East Lancashire Hospice, the Stroke Association, Dementia UK, Parkinson’s UK, and the MS Society, ensuring our staff stay updated with the latest skills and training. All carers are vetted and trained for long-term careers in care.
Company Culture
We provide comprehensive induction training. Carers must demonstrate competence in following care plans and delivering appropriate care, including completing shifts with a supervisor.
New recruits are encouraged to pursue their diploma/NVQ qualification in care, which typically takes 6 to 9 months.
Join Our Team
If you’re passionate about improving lives and share our values, we’d love to hear from you. We promote equal opportunities and welcome applications from motivated individuals eager to learn and grow in the care industry.
We believe caring is a vocation, not just a job. As a family-run business, we seek like-minded people committed to making a meaningful difference, whether experienced or new to care.
