Electrical/Service Engineer Location: Ipswich Area Salary: From £37,999.52 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience) Contract: Full-time, subject to a three-month probation period Overview: A well-established and expanding company is looking for experienced Electrical and Service Engineers to join its team. This role involves electrical installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis for pumping systems across various projects. Key Responsibilities: Installation, servicing, and fault diagnosis of motors, pumps, control panels, and related electrical services for both clean and waste water systems. Perform electrical testing and certification of circuits, ensuring all work adheres to industry standards. Technical support for customers and staff, including hands-on fault finding and breakdown response. Provide electrical and mechanical support for installations in commercial and domestic environments. Site management of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all documentation is up to date. Participate in weekend/evening emergency callouts on a rota with other engineers. Strong knowledge of BS7671 is essential, with additional experience in pipework installations and pumps being desirable. Qualifications and Experience: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent AM2 certification. 18th Edition certification and ECS Card required. At least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering and pump maintenance. Proficiency in testing, inspection, and certification of electrical circuits. Additional Information: Standard 39-hour work week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Overtime may be required. Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
