An experienced and passionate Applications, Research and Development Technology Engineer ART from within an Aerospace, Defence or Precision Engineering environment is sought for our client based in Loughborough. They are a world leading name for products, from concept through to manufacture, a leader of technical excellence within their field and due to continued growth across the whole group an experienced Applications, Research and Development Technology Engineer ART is required to provide expertise in defining, setting up and conducting development tests in the R D area at this facility. Essential Responsibilities of the Applications, Research and Development Technology Engineer ARTResearch and development of new materials and products in - line with the Technology RoadmapCoordinate all resources external or internal required to fulfil the project requirement and communicate individual resource responsibilities, budget constraints and targets Establish and maintain a project plan for each of the ART activities Must have a \Hands on\ approach to development and testing to TRL 6 Technology Readiness Levels Provide a monthly report on project QCD status to the Engineering Director and Group PLC Project management skills are essential, manages project scope and scope change to ensure that project budgets and targets are achievable Identify, innovative and \blue sky\ opportunities linked to the Technology Roadmap Responsible along with accountable for the successful planning and delivery of the ART projects to TRL 6 Technology Readiness LevelsQualifications and Desired Characteristics of the Applications, Research and Development Technology Engineer ART:Degree qualified in fitting to the role of Applications, Research and Development Technology Engineer ART - this to ideally be in Material Science, Materials Engineering, Composites or Polymeric capabilitiesIndustry standard accreditation Previous leadership experience within a technological advanced paced engineering environment would be highly beneficial Global travel will be required in this position which the successful candidate must be able to accommodateCandidates that are PhD qualified who are looking to step into industry are also encouraged to apply If you meet with the fullest of the requirements for the role of the Applications, Research and Development Technology Engineer ART for our client, then immediate interviews and start are available for this role.
