You will ensure that these applications are effectively managed in relation to their currency, stability, availability, security, usability, and technical support through the entire application life cycle while being responsive to the needs of the business that the IT service supports.
You will be responsible for managing a team of 4 Support Engineers providing a technical operational support service for IT systems at the agreed level.
Working remotely, with occasional site or office visits required, and an office space always available if preferred to home working. The role will involve occasional work outside of core office hours and requirement to visit offices and other locations. What you'll be doing
Maintaining business satisfaction and confidence in IT through effective and efficient delivery and support of agreed IT services. You'll be responsible for managing incidents, problems, changes, and releases. Day to day tasks will include responding to events relating to supported applications and managing access to them, as well as minimising the impact of service outages on day-to-day business activities.
Providing line management to the Support Engineers creating a shared purpose to help them develop and achieve results, and you will work closely with all teams, key users and business contacts, as well as the Application Support Manager.
What you'll need
Detailed experience of supporting complex ICT solutions for a large organisation. You will be actively working with the system owner and system users to make sure systems are fit for purpose and meeting the needs of the businesses.
You will have previously worked in a systems administration role, with oversight of system maintenance and management activity to ensure applications are performing optimally and that data is safe and secure.
You will be able to manage multi-disciplinary teams of professional staff who deliver a range of services to customers and partners. You will be motivating and retaining highly marketable staff working in a pressurised environment.
