We are looking for: An experienced HSE Manager for the Heanor site We count on you for: The HSE Manager will be responsible for: Developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety and sustainability across our operations Supporting Syensqo's commitment to safe, sustainable, and ethical practices Covering responsibility for the operation and overview of site security, this involves being part of any site security improvements, overview and enforcement of Syensqo Visitor site security process Being the point of contact for Syensqo GBU Initiatives of both HSE and Security Key responsibilities: Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with Syensqo’s sustainability goals and regulatory requirements Carry out and also review M.H.A. documents ( Mechanical Hazard Awareness ) Ming sure and improvement adheres to the M.H.A. model. Ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems Advise management on compliance requirements regarding applicable UK and EU legislation, ensuring required compliance Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and documentation of findings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution. Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE best practices and regulatory compliance. Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics to drive continuous improvement Foster a "Speak Up" culture where employees feel safe to raise concerns and contribute to a safe working environment Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and innovation in HSSE practices You will bring: A NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health A Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management as a minimum ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the materials or chemicals industry Preferable that candidate has previous experience of site security role Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations and standards and guidance Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels A good understanding of mechanical and process hazards / controls Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and ethical practices Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment You will get: Competitive salary and benefits package 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations Training platform for all employees Free language courses (24 languages available) Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological) Additional information: Working days 08.30 to 16.30 Monday to Friday although must be flexible to meet the needs of the business Reporting directly to the Site Manager Location: Heanor, UK About Us Syensqo is a science company developing groundbreaking solutions that enhance the way we live, work, travel and play.
