Join to apply for the Oncology Advanced Clinical Practitioner role at Anglia Cancer Network.
Job Summary
Velindre Cancer Centre is looking to recruit an Oncology Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join its expanding ACP team.
We are looking for a qualified or trainee ACP with recent experience in oncology. If you are applying for this role as a Trainee band 7 ACP role, Annex 21 will be applied. The candidate will be offered 70% of the salary in year one and 75% in year 2. There will be an opportunity for the right candidate to progress to the ACP at 8a level once fully qualified and successful completion of the VUNHST ACP ratification process.
Are you on a Masters pathway as a trainee ACP? Or do you have relevant experience? There is a place for you here with the team, and we welcome your application. We can support a training and development opportunity, providing you are able to undertake the essentials of advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, planning care, and prescribing.
Main duties of the job
A key aspect of the role includes working as an autonomous practitioner across the Acute Oncology scheduled and unscheduled care day units, the chemotherapy day units, and the Clinical Support service within Velindre Cancer Centre. Additionally, there will be a requirement to work in the capacity of an ACP at the chemotherapy outreach units currently based within two local health boards.
This job plan will comprise approximately 70% clinical duties, which will include working a combination of day, night, and weekend shift work. The remaining 30% will focus on the three remaining Advanced Practice pillars: Education and Research, Leadership, and Management. As part of this role, the successful candidate will engage in operational duties related to site management and patient flow, an essential element that will reinforce and support the management pillar of the advanced practice framework.
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
