As an Electrical engineer at HMP Northumberland, your role is pivotal in maintaining the prison's essential infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities include the installation, testing, examination, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment within the prison. However, you will also be required to carry out a wide range of other duties. HMP Northumberland is large and varied, with buildings of various ages and uses, including residential house blocks, kitchens, classrooms, workshops, offices and of course lots of security equipment. Successful completion an electrician apprenticeship or have equivalent experience working as an electrician. Understanding of I.E.E. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Ability to collaborate within a team or as an individual where required. Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
