About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of artistic interests and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their artistic development. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and digital art, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of artistic concepts and skills. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Art and Design examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and artistic methodologies. Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and resources, integrating current artistic trends and diverse artistic practices. Foster a love of art in students, encouraging them to develop their artistic skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider arts and cultural life of the school. Organize and lead art exhibitions, workshops, and gallery visits, promoting artistic engagement and expression. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design, including various artistic mediums and techniques. Demonstrated ability to teach Art across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Art and Design examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and artistic skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all artistic abilities. A passion for art and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression.
