An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Medicine Division at Ipswich Hospital in our Short Stay Unit - Capel
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can use their initiative to support and develop the team on Capel Ward. A positive and flexible approach is essential as well as the ability to support new ways of working.
Within this role, you will have the opportunity to have a positive impact on the standard of care that our patients receive. Main duties of the job
1. To be responsible, with the guidance of the Ward Sister, for providing leadership and teaching within the Unit environment.
2. To support the Ward Sister in the general management of the ward, such as completion of appraisals, 1-1s, and other management tasks.
3. Through knowledge, good example, and education, enable unit staff to deliver high-quality, individualised care.
4. To provide support and supervision of nursing staff, and effectively coordinate and deploy resources within the ward.

* Proven experience in medical nursing
