We are seeking an experienced and passionate Residential Support Worker to join our team. As a Residential Support Worker at Platform Childcare, you will play a key role in taking care of the needs of our children.

Shift Patterns
The normal shift patterns of the home rotas are from approx. 8am to 10pm and include sleep-ins from 10pm to 8am. Shifts can be subject to rota change to meet the needs of the home.
On a typical week
1. Build and develop relationships with our young people and encourage them to participate fully in the opportunities offered inside and outside the home.
2. Conduct formal key work sessions with young people and produce reports for each session.
3. Understand and follow the required legislation, policies, processes, and procedures set by the home to deliver your role effectively.
4. Be responsible for the effective safeguarding of the young people within your care and understand how to raise any concerns.
5. Support our young people with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, medical appointments, meetings, etc.
About you
1. Full driving license a MUST with access to own transport.
2. Ability to work shifts and sleep-ins.
3. Successful applicant must be over the age of 21.
4. An understanding of relevant legislation relating to the care of young people.
5. Experience of working with young people that have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties in a residential environment.
6. Ideal candidates will hold a Diploma Level 3 qualified in Residential Child Care or be willing to study for this.
