Our client is a well established, diverse group of companies. They are highly profitable and poised for continued growth. To support their continued development they are now looking to recruit a high calibre Group Financial Controller to deliver effective financial control, on time and accurate reporting and detailed management information to support the strategic direction of the business.
The role will be hands on, providing accurate and effective financial control across the group with key responsibilities including but not being limited to:
1. Ensuring smooth running of finances for the business.
2. Production and consolidation of monthly management accounts and MI as required for the businesses.
3. Production of Statutory accounts and liaison with company auditors on all account and tax matters.
4. Continuous improvement of controls and processes.
5. Management of the finance team.
6. Assist the executive team to achieve their goals and objectives by accurate financial insight and analysis.
7. Assist directors in preparing and achieving overall company growth strategy (including forecast company cash flows, budgets and forecasting).
8. Treasury management including cash flow and forecasting.
9. Development / replacement of the financial reporting system.
The successful candidate will need to be:
1. A fully qualified Accountant.
2. Be able to demonstrate strong progression in their career to date.
3. The ability to lead, manage and develop a finance team ensuring continuous professional development, driving improvements and standards.
4. Demonstrate a strong technical competency in financial accounting and reporting whilst also being able to produce highly accurate and insightful monthly management accounts.
5. Any experience in a professional or business service sector is highly advantageous.
6. Have a strong commercial instinct, capable of supporting the business on commercial decisions including investment appraisals and acquisitions.
7. Demonstrate the exceptional communication skills and personal presentation required to operate and influence at Plc Board level.
