OCU Group are facing significant growth throughout 2024. This has given us the opportunity to grow our Plant and Transport department. The Systems and Data Manager will support the needs of the OCU plant & transport team through data-driven decisions and the continuous improvement of business processes. The role will provide support to senior members of plant & transport with the delivery of timely/correct reporting, and the data analysis required for continuous improvement. The role will also provide support to the wider OCU Group and acquired companies through the delivery of a high quality and effective service. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the operations of the department’s system, making sure it is functional and configured to business needs. Working with the Head of Plant and Transport, providing insights and recommendations to align solutions to business needs. Responsible for Planning and Managing system upgrades to all OCU Plant Systems, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions for both the Plant and Operational teams, when effected. Lead and support digital transformation for OCU Plant, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements, defining solutions that meet said needs. Create and manage accurate reports on the department’s key performance indicators (KPI’s). Contribute across the wider team, assisting others, sharing knowledge, and supporting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Ensuring best practice is embedded and followed throughout. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a systems and data manager (or similar role), preferably within the construction or plant and transport industry. Sound working knowledge of IT packages, CRM systems and/or databases. Syrinx/MS Access and PowerBI experience desirable. Experience of creating data dashboards to inform decision making. Good team working skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Highly developed communication skills. Proactive approach to work and tasks.
