Reporting Lines:
You will report into the Transport Manager at Rickmansworth.
Focus areas of the role:
The success of the role will be measured against the effective implementation of the following focus areas:
1. Effectively plan and distribute work as required.
2. Manage and control the Transport booking in for all sites.
3. Manage the day-to-day compliance of the department alongside instructions as set out by the Transport Manager, ensuring the Drivers follow Hours regulations.
4. Keep systems updated with driver holidays and sickness.
5. Assist the Transport Manager to plan all vehicle inspections or compliance events.
6. Ensure that the department administration is completed, checked, and filed as required.
7. Improve the standards across the transport department.
8. Ensure health and safety requirements are met across the department with improvement where possible.
To be successful in this role you will need the following skills, behaviours, and abilities:
1. Be a team player with the willingness to succeed.
2. Must have some Haulage experience.
3. Have good organisational skills.
4. Be able to build relationships with work colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
5. Excellent attention to detail, friendly and helpful nature.
6. Proactive and enthusiastic.
7. Strong PC Literacy including Word & Excel.
