We are looking for a Band 7 Vulnerable Foot Specialist Podiatrist to work within Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.
You will join one of the largest and forward-thinking Podiatry teams in the country. We are looking for a highly motivated and professional HCPC registered Podiatrist to provide high quality podiatric care for patients with pathological foot conditions and those individuals at risk of developing serious foot health complications.
You will have excellent clinical skills to deliver a range of Podiatry treatments for our patients in Kent. Working with the local team to ensure service provisions within the team are run effectively and efficiently.
Upon joining our team, you will receive a comprehensive induction programme. As well as this we offer our own preceptorship package covering all aspects of peer review, clinical supervision, support and mentoring. A competency programmes is used for staff to ensure all work is to a high clinical standard which can lead to future opportunities for career development into a chosen specialist area which can be supported within the service.
Podiatry embraces new ways of working including virtual consultations, group sessions and technology. Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive health and wellbeing support package to all staff as well as excellent development opportunities.
The post holder will provide specialist knowledge and skills for patients with vulnerable (or high-risk) foot problems. They will have specialist knowledge in the care of patients with high-risk foot complications, including diabetes, acute and chronic neuropathies, vascular problems, and wound management.
Within their clinical leadership/Management role, working with the Vulnerable Foot Lead for the service, they will be responsible for supporting the development of colleagueswithin the Podiatry team by implementing the Podiatry Competency Framework, Clinical Pathways, Protocols and Guidelines.
The service is delivered in Community Clinics, Health Centres, GP surgeries, Acute Hospitals, Prison sites, Mental health units and patient’s own homes. All staff are given theopportunity to get involved in a wide variety and scope of practice.
