We are seeking a skilled and organised Undergraduate Studies Coordinator to join our team to support our undergraduate teaching and examinations. This is a varied role, ideal for someone with strong administrative experience, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.57 per hour + holiday pay.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Organise and coordinate teaching provision, including timetabling, room bookings, and managing teaching resources.
2. Serve as the Department’s Disability Coordinator for undergraduate students, ensuring adjustments are made in line with Student Support Plans.
3. Manage and maintain electronic systems, including Canvas, for undergraduate teaching and student information.
4. Support examination processes, including preparation of examination papers, coordination with examiners, and accurate reporting of marks.
5. Provide administrative support to academic leadership, including committee servicing, data management, and maintaining teaching records.
6. Act as a key point of contact for students, providing guidance on course requirements and regulations.
7. Coordinate events such as undergraduate induction and Open Days.
Selection Criteria:
1. A-level education or equivalent.
2. Experience in complex administrative roles. This experience must be in an academic administration setting e.g. admissions, exams, timetabling etc.
3. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently under pressure.
4. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, with advanced IT skills.
5. Proven problem-solving ability and initiative to anticipate and address challenges.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of audiences.
7. A collaborative approach to work and the ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
